The mechanics are refreshing, being a mix of car chases and the newly-popular hide and shoot. It is always nice to see a game where auto mode would ruin it too much to consider. I really wanted to love this game, but everything about it says mafia, including the greed.
You start the game with a tutorial that seems to last forever. This is partially because the glowing buttons give you the impression they are the only ones you can press when you are free to explore until "tutorial start" sections.
The default character is not the one on most of the advertisements, which is a clever way to rope you into playing. This wouldn't be so tedious without the archaic stamina system. It feels like that idea came in a template with the UI. Despite being clean and crisp, the UI is not much of an evolution from games like Devil's Attorney.
There is really no need to introduce the shop in a tutorial. This makes it feel like a required part of the game. Stamina is bad enough without shoving the price to keep playing down my throat right after draining it nearly dry. This will likely be followed by events that require a specific number of runs in a specific time period.
For anyone that only wants to play a game one or two rounds at a time, this may be a good fit for you. Don't let me rating deter you from trying it out.
