Fasting (or Sawm) is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam, which is literally defined as to abstain "completely" from foods, drinks, etc., before the break of the dawn till sunset, during the entire month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic year. It's an obligatory task for every Muslim to fast all days of Ramadan, except the ones with accepted excuses such as not being able to fast because of some illness or pregnancy, or being on travel. Beside not eating and drinking, there are also some others necessities for a true fasting, such as abstention from sins.

Ramadan is the month of fasting filled with religious and spiritual fervor. Muslims across the globe, refrain themselves from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk. In addition, Muslims perform special prayers and indulge themselves in special Ibadaats including the hugely rewarded deeds to ensure they make the maximum out of this holy month.

These are some of the Duas from Quran and Hadith that one can make in the days and nights of Ramadan and Laila-tul-Qadr. However, these Du’as are not restricted to be made only in Ramadan. As always, one can make Dua at anytime of the year. However, as Ramadan is the month of fasting and Dua, make these Du’as and memorize them for greater blessings.
