This book, indirectly, provides an alternative response to the Parlindungan book, namely through architectural approaches. Experiences in the field, especially observations of the Great Demak Mosque building, helped a lot in discussing this book.

In order to fully understand the contents of the Malay Annual Notes, the Parlindungan text which is used as an appendix in Tuanku Rao's book, in the first part of this book, deliberately, although not one hundred percent exactly the same, describes the appendix in a slightly narrative writing style.

The contents of this book are divided into six sub-discussions, namely: (1) The Role of Chinese People in the Development of Islam on the Island of Java, 1411-1564; (2) Walisongo Da'wah Council; (3) Sunan Ampel the Architect; (4) The Minaret Mosque is a Witness to Sunan Kudus; (5) Relocation of the Semarang Grand Mosque; (6) Soko Tatal Demak Mosque: Between Fact and Fantasy?

This book still has many shortcomings, but at least its presence can be used as an alternative reading, especially for lovers of Javanese history and architecture.

Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
