Kiai Sahal himself was only in Mecca for 2-3 months. There, he met Sheikh Yasin bin Isa from Padang who gave him diplomas from many Arabic books in various scientific disciplines. The diploma obtained after Kiai Sahal communicated intensely with Shaikh Yasin via letter, is a valid statement that Kiai Sahal has the right to read and practice various Arabic books using the knowledge he has learned from Islamic boarding school to Islamic boarding school in Indonesia.
