Ok so according to dictionary.com, endless means "having or seeming to have no end..." I dunno that's not very satisfying. What does seeming to have no end mean? Oh wait I'm so stupid. I could have just told you that it's endless and because I know no one will ever reach the end, you would just think it's actually infinite.
