I have been playing SF3 since it was soft released. I had completed the entire story mode long before the game was released, however, there are a couple things which frustrate me and, in certain cases, other players.Originally, SF3 had an actual store where you could go and buy armour, weapons and headgear. This was great because you could have saved and bought an item. Also, if you owned an item in the store you could then pay to upgrade it. This allowed you to purchase a weapon you were comfortable with, and upgrade it if you saw fit. If you didn't, you could simply refresh the store. Now, we are stuck with booster packs. These packs do not upgrade any good items purchased I would have purchased previously but instead upgrade what, I assume, the game expected you to be playing with. It's quite annoying that they took out a store, which was lovely in my opinion, and replaced it with only booster packs (which were also present when the store was there). I believe the boxes were an attempt to replace some of the lost value from the store but it's is far from helpful as it does the same as booster packs and "rarely" gives you something new or upgrades something I had before the update.Income used to be decent. You do a couple side matches, do some of your main quests and there you have enough money to buy some new gear. Now, besides for the fact that the only thing you can spend your coins on are booster packs, I find the amount quite harsh. I mean, I am by no means going to spend real money on gems as I'm but a child, however, the amount of gems earned is quite low. Especially for me as I only have 2 side quests a day until the add more to the main story.Back to the "loot boxes". These boxes didn't seem bad at first but the system with which they work is slightly unnerving. Firstly, you have 4 open slots. If you win a match, you get a common chest. If you win a 3 or 2 matches in a row you may also get a rare chest. By the time you get one rare chest or complete 4 matches, your incentive for doing pvp's are gone. The common chest takes 3hrs to unlock, so, unless you'll check your phone during the day to unlock chests, you'll find yourself with a never ending supply of chests. Chests which don't provide any useful rewards by the way. From a different perspective this may not necessarily be "bad" since i'm lvl 7 and the gear I have I bought in the store before the game updated, I can't expect them to give me more of that. But, I guess if you're a lower lvl then you'll benefit much, much more. The pvp fighting now. Ah, pvp. Although, it's not really pvp as I doubt you'll find an actual player playing the game at any given time in less than 5 seconds. Therefore it is really an AI impersonating how that specific user fights. However we will call it pvp nonetheless. Again, idk if it's due to my lol and/or rating but these are issues still. I don't know when last i've battled someone with a lower power rating than me. It's been this terrible uphill battle as the first thing I see is that their score is a good bit higher than mine (sometimes the difference is 100 points). That kind of throws it off from the start. I have, however, been playing the game long enough (and read the moves list) to know how to beat person's much stronger than I. But this still doesn't make it the least bit fair. Back to the majority problem at hand, the fighting, I often find myself wondering how the **** the AI could be simulating a players fighting still but does so flawlessly. If it's a person where are the mistakes? I make mistakes, shouldn't the AI do it too? Where are the inaccuracies? Why does it perfectly counteract my moves at times? Normal players cannot do such a thing so often. How can they keep a combo so long? Why is it that they sometimes seem to attack faster than me when I'm sure I started first? Now, I understand how to combat the different weapons and styles but how can you keep me in the corner so long? I know how to escape but every move I make means I am not blocking thus taking 3x more damage. How can I escape like that. Why do I feel like the opponents head hits but hunks from my health but when I do the same and he is unguarded there is no big effect. Ive also noticed this problem with one of the Shadow abilities. Namely, the teleport ability. How can it be that immediately after I teleport I am attacked? What is the purpose of allowing someone to teleport behind someone else if they can get attacked literally as soon as they reappear. I mean that shouldn't be allowed... How can you teleport behind someone and not have the upper hand for at least a second? Lastly, sometimes it doesn't matter what I do, I just I have been playing SF3 since it was soft released. I had completed the entire story mode long before the game was released, however, there are a couple things which frustrate me and, in certain cases, other players.Originally, SF3 had an actual store where you could go and buy armour, weapons and headgear. How can you teleport behind someone and not have the upper hand for at least a second? Lastly, sometimes I wonder why, b no no matter what I do I can't land a hit. I might swing from behind, do low kicks, normal kicks, basic attacks, special attacks, EVERYTHING. The point is that, even when I'm fighting in an unorthodox manner I cant land a hit and it's not expected from an AI impersonating an player. Last but not least, is the damage ratio. When blocking (not doing anything) you take minimal damage. That's is, assuming the person you're fighting is around your power. However, if I am not blocking (due to me moving or trying to attack) I take 2,3 or 4 times the amount of damage I normally would. Why? How is it fair? I mean the concept makes sense but , as I said earlier, if you're cornered and not given a chance for a clear counter attack you'll have to try and attack while being attacked. But since you're not blocking abymore if you get hut whilst trying to escape you suffer terribly. Moreover, when j do the same I personally find he damage negligible. The balancing issue is one of the more frustrating ones as pvp is where the big boys are at. Due to the inesided match making and unbalanced AI and gameplay it was DIFFICULT. I mean when he game updated I was already in Dan 4 but the amount of times I won and lost and won and lost and my score ended up in the same or lower position really dragged it out. I mean I recently made it to Dan 5 but who can I defeat there? My power is just 1660 and everyone is literally 1700 . It sucks. After reaching Dan 5 I lost so many maths in a row I got demoted. Oh well. Ill reach back up, but it will be a fight. Please don't gather from any of this that I dilike the game to an incredible extent. If that were true I would have stopped playing it and won't have thought twice about writing this (which I didn't cuz this is off my head). I really do like the game but there are some issues that great graphics and a terrific storyline can't fix. My game name is LOSTXSOUL (don't ask me the point of putting it here, in doing it just because) if you have any disagreements let's discuss it in the comments. Trust me, ive never written this much for a game before. Creds to my English teacher. There may be a ton of typos but I never read this over just so you know. Finally, if you're a new player just dive on in. You may never experience my issues so don't let what I said stop you at all. Nekki might never see this too. Peace. ✌
