Anyone can access Fourtoni, an augmented reality contemporary sculpture through their personal device. The sculpture is the result of a project which blended data generated through scientific research together with contemporary technology in computer sciences, for an innovative take on the contemporary meaning of a public monument. The artistic concept itself also deals with the effects of human perception on the way we see and understand our daily surroundings; in this case, the Triton Fountain, Valletta, Malta. The augmented reality sculpture is only visible when pointing one’s device at the Valletta fountain.
