I have always been fascinated with the Cajun culture of Louisiana. The history of how the original French Acadians arrived in Louisiana, the French settlements, the Louisiana Purchase and its significance for the United States westward expansion of Manifest Destiny, and of course, the French Quarter in New Orleans.

I hope that the next time you are in the area of the bayous of Louisiana, that you will get off the highways and stop by a real Cajun bar that is deep in the swamps of Acadiana.
