Pencak silat is a traditional martial art originating from Indonesia. In contrast to most other martial arts, pencak silat has its own characteristics, namely the movement that looks broken.

In Indonesia the name pencak silat began to be officially used after the establishment of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association or IPSI. Previously in Indonesian regions it was called with various names, such as silek, silat, pencak and others.

The basic technique of pencak silat that must be mastered first is the horses. Why is that? Because the horses are a stepping foot that serves to prepare to attack your opponent while maintaining a position so that it is not easily dropped when in a defensive position.
