A Manual Of Catholic Theology
Catholic theology is the understanding of the Roman Catholic doctrine, and the studies of its theologians. It is based on the holy scriptures, and sacred tradition, which are interpreted by the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
Major teachings of the Catholic Church were discussed in the early councils of the Church are summarized in various creeds, in particular the Nicene Creed and the Apostles' Creed. From 16th century the church has put out a number of catechisms which summarize its teachings.
In this work the Dr. Wilhelm and Fr. Scannell worked together to consolidate the theology of the church and produce a manual for English readings to help them gain a deeper understanding of the church.
