Freshman 2 Course Objectives

As pointed out above, this Freshman English Course is a general remedial course which means in some sense a revision of the language skills that you studied at school. Therefore, the overall objective of this course is to improve your competence in English. Specific objectives are listed at the beginning of each unit, and more specific and measurable ones are stated at the beginning of each lesson that belongs to the same theme. Accordingly, the general objectives of the course are the sum of the behavioural objectives

listed at the beginning of each lesson. In fact, this Freshman Course emphasizes all language skills, sub skills, and language use/functions. Stated more specifically, the course aims to improve your English in:

1- Listening and Speaking,

2- Reading Comprehension,

3- Writing,

4- Mastery of structure (grammar), vocabulary and pronunciation, and

5- Enhancing your ability in communication.
