Soon we will enter the month of Dzulhijjah. The month of Dzuhhijjah is one of the months included in the ranks of the 4 forbidden months; Dzulqa'dah, Dzulhijjah, Muharram and Rajab. As the hadith says:

“Indeed, the era rotates as it was before when Allah ﷻ created the heavens and the earth. There are twelve months in that year, of which four are honored: 3 consecutive months; Dzulqa'dah, Dzulhijjah and Muharram as well as a separate month, namely Rajab Mudhar, which is between the months of Jumada Akhiroh and Sha'ban." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).

The Arabs named the month Dzulhijjah because in that month the Arabs performed the pilgrimage as a form of carrying out the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam, and this custom has existed since the Jahiliyah era. Dzulhijjah comes from two words, namely Dzul which means owner and Al-Hijjah which means Hajj.

There are many virtues that we should be able to prepare to be our practice of worship. For today, there are several practices that we can't do because of the pandemic. But there's still a lot we can do. Happy reading!.
